Our past wraps around us.
Molding us. Shaping us.
Sometimes gently, like a ribbon adorning a ponytail.
Sometimes a burden, like chains on Marley's ghost.
There's no escape from our past.
We are a mosaic of all that we have experienced.
But those past burdens do not need to imprison us, though it isn't easy to see how we are tethered.
With courage, we can grow around the things that might bind us.
Though the past will always be with us.

Sometimes courage is just continuing to put one foot in front of the other and refusing to be tethered.
I think most people have one or two life events that try to pull them down. It is possible to overcome them but they do leave a scar.
The past may always be with us but doesn’t always have to bind us
The hard part is actually seeing which past events do bind us and then learning to grow from the knowledge.
There is always an escape from our past.
Blink. Acknowledge. Learn. Move on. 💕
I recall the positive vibes and donT linger on yesterday's greys.
There's NO way to succeed with a plan that looks, and keeps lingering backwards.

We can learn from our past. We can grow from our past. We can change our reaction to our past. We can develop amnesia, but everything one experiences ... everything ... creates the person we are today. That is what I mean by no escape.
I have some thoughts about what I might want to say on this topic but as my thoughts are about more than one aspect I will have to think about which I may be able to express best. I loved what you had to say and how you said it. Read it to Diane this morning and she thought it was wonderful also. I hope I can figure out just what I want to say and how to say it.

It takes some introspection and not everybody has that ability.
