Act 1, Scene 1
Man reads Woman's profile.
Man is in the process of relocating to the Woman's area.
Man contacts Woman stating that it sounds like they are looking for the same thing.
Man and Woman exchange messages and start to get acquainted.
Act 1, Scene 2
Man is going to be in town, giving specific days, and asks if Woman would like to meet.
Woman agrees - with the caveat of "no expectations."
Woman sends Man her phone number.
Three days later, Man contacts Woman via text that he is nearing the area.
Act 1, Scene 3
Hours after dark, Man lets Woman know that he has settled in for the night.
Woman asks Man his thoughts on meeting. (translation: let's make actual plans)
Man responds with "anytime."
Woman replies, "Lunch?" and gets no response.
Knowing Man has had a long day, Woman sends text that if he has fallen asleep to call in the morning.
Act 2, Scene 1
The next day, Woman leaves things open for last minute planning.
Lunchtime rolls around with no contact from Man.
Woman sends text, asking Man if a meet was still going to happen.
Woman goes about her own business.
Dinnertime rolls around with no contact from Man.
Woman sends text, hoping that nothing bad has happened. (She would rather think him a jerk than involved in a crisis)
Act 2, Scene 2
Another day has arrived without Man replying.
Woman checks messages on adult dating platform and discovers Man has deactivated his account.
Disgruntled, Woman hides her profile and swears to become celibate.
Epilogue
Woman goes for long walk on a beautiful autumn day.
Returns home to write a blog post.
Regains gruntledness.

"Act 1, Scene 3" Kinda seemed like an indication of things to, or in this case, not to come. He should have at least said "Thanks, but things have changed!" Life has a habit of doing that, but at least be curteous about it and let the other party know!

I had 2 recents similar. Here it is. A zero expectation of follow through. Zero. If something occurs, tread lightly. His sincerity or lack of will show eventually. The men here are like a man with a tv remote. He doesn’t want to see what is on tv, he wants to see what else is on. No, I’m not jaded at all. 🙄

I am so jaded that I started telling men who claimed to be moving to my area that they should feel free to get back in touch once they've actually moved. Reason being, often I felt like that line was a scammy attempt to get a conversation going in hopes that it would lead to cyber sex.
No shade on cyber sex, it just doesn't happen to be my thing.
