You frame this with such clarity. ‘Real’ gets defined from the outside far too often, and your focus on being true to oneself cuts through all of that.
It's not always easy to clearly express a multilayer concept. I appreciate the compliment.
Whenever I see "looking for real women" on a profile, I wonder how many times they got catfished by fake profiles with photos of unbelievably attractive people.
This is what I think when I see "looking for real women" on a profile.
Only ingredients that resound with me from the Martian standpoint are pretty simple....listening without interrupting, not taking each other for granted and actually being present without being asked . Just my humble opinion.
Sounds like your momma raised a "real" man!
@superbjversion2 TY....my Momma and 7 Aunts half my young life spe n t between NJ and Vt
Sooooo true !!!
Thanks. I was hoping a little for some other opinions, but I guess this is why people like my blog.
Amen sista!!!!!
Thank you mista!
Yes ma’am, I agree completely!
I'm glad. I can start wearing pearls with my overalls again!
@superbjversion2 I bet you look great in pearls and overalls
Certainly a person that is true to their inner selves is more at ease in the world and thus more stable, even if their view does not conform to that of society at large.
Soooo...? Being at ease and stable makes one real?
@superbjversion2 Pretty much yeah. But not a "stable genius" (thank goodness!).
I agree with everything you've said.
I purposely did not read your post before writing mine so I wouldn't be influenced. We've obviously proved the "Great minds think alike" adage.
@superbjversion2 I was only jesting with CarpeJamie. But I'm honoured (please note that U) to your 'great minds think alike' remark.
@spunkycumfun I recognized your "jest font" so no worries.
I like and agree with how you describe real man or woman.
I stopped and thought about it, and I'm not sure what I would consider a "real" woman.
What does that even mean? I don't say "normal" anymore either, because what is normal for one person, is not for another.
I also agree with having a partner that has the same perspective of what is a "real" this or that.
These thought provoking blogs turn my brain crank.
Cranking the brain keeps it sharp!
Agreed
Thanks
I was thinking they mean not a scammer or fake on the site.
The Real man/Real woman idea extends well beyond the shores of this place. Just look at the plethora of ads for "A Real Man Does ___" t-shirts that abound on other social media platforms.
Well said!
Thank you.
